In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. And they were calling to one another:
“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty;
the whole earth is full of his glory.”
Isaiah 6:1-3
Summary
We're on day five of our Acclimate journey toward Passion 2025, and today, our word is “holy.”
In this chapter of Scripture, the prophet Isaiah is catching a vision of God's Glory. He's getting a window into Heaven, into Eternity, in the throne room of Almighty God. God is seated, and the angels and heavenly beings surround Him and worship Him day and night.
As they surround Him, they use the word “holy.” They say it three times—Father, Son, Holy Spirit—holy, holy, holy. This word is reserved for God and God alone because it means that God is other, different, and set apart. He is not like anybody or anything else in this world. He's in a category unto himself.
This vision humbled Isaiah, causing him to go down to his knees. This is the posture we should have—asking for, pleading for, and seeking together as we gather at Passion 2025 in State Farm Arena. But what will make this gathering different from every other live event that State Farm Arena hosts?
The truth is that only God's presence resting down on us in these days will make Passion 2025 holy. So, let’s believe and ask that these days be set apart to experience God's glory, His presence, and His almighty wonder because He has the power to change and transform each and every one of us.
Prayer:
God, would You open my eyes to see Your holiness? I believe You want to rest on Your people and change a generation. God, I pray that You would humble me and captivate my heart with Your holiness. I love You. Amen.
