Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
Hebrews 10:23-25
Summary
For day two of our Acclimate journey toward Passion 2025, we want to come around the word "believe."
“Believe” means having confidence in something, and we, as believers, can be confident that there is a God on His throne who sees us and loves us right now. God knew what the world had to offer and the pain and suffering His Son would endure, yet He cared for us enough to send Jesus to take on the cross and be the atonement for our sins and defeat death in the grave so that we could have a relationship with Him for eternity (Isaiah 53:10). That’s the foundation and the hope we hold on to.
Hebrews 10:23-25 gives us two simple commands: to hope without wavering and to be together—encouraging one another as fellow believers with faith, love, and good work.
Passion 2025 gives us the opportunity for both steadfast hope and community in the days to come. It's not just a chance for people to come and hear new songs or great speakers; it's a chance for us to lift Jesus' name and renown among fellow believers and, in doing so, encourage each other. Then, when we go home to our schools or to work, we can be a light in this world for Jesus.
As verse 25 says, the day is drawing near. Jesus is coming back, and we want the world to know about Him.
Prayer:
Jesus, I love You and thank You for who You are and what You've done. As I get closer to Passion 2025, I pray You will raise my belief, faith, and confidence in what You're going to do. I pray that people will leave changed because that's what happens when we encounter You. We love You and praise You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
