Did you grow up waiting to hear if your school would close due to snow? For some of us, this experience was a mile-marker of our childhoods–waiting by the house phone to get a call from the school district, or sitting in front of the t.v. until your school’s name appeared, you couldn’t wait for the good news!
Whether you can relate to this specific experience or not, you could probably assume the reaction: sheer joy. One simple announcement, one small dose of news, and your day was changed for the better.
We love good news, and it’s only fitting that those two words are interchangeable for the Gospel.
As we dive into another day together, discover the specific and practical ways you can partner with Jesus to share the Gospel, the good news of Jesus, with anyone and everyone around you.
Summary
Isn’t it amazing to know that if you are in Christ, you are constantly the bearer of good news?
Not more bad news, not more hopeless headlines—but the best news the world could hear: God loves people so much that He gave His only Son so we could have life.
The Bible calls this “the gospel,” which simply means good news. Paul writes in Romans 1:16, “I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.”
This good news has the power to save, to heal, and to restore everyone. Isn’t that news you want to share?
Jesus told His followers, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel” (Mark 16:15). Preaching here doesn’t mean standing on a stage—it means telling, sharing, spreading. It’s something every Christian can do, in their own sphere of life.
Go into your office…and preach the Gospel.
Go into your classroom…and preach the Gospel.
Go into your grocery store…and preach the Gospel.
If you have experienced grace, you carry a message the world desperately needs. Will you share the good news today?
