Who’s in Your Crew?

None of us are on this journey alone. We fly through the galaxy surrounded by 7+ Billion other people, yet amidst all of them, the feeling of loneliness is at an all-time high. It’s a wild thought that in the most connected time in human history, we can genuinely feel as though we have no one in our corner.

On this trip around the sun, you and I have the opportunity, and the responsibility, to look at who is in our inner circle. Do we have the right people helping us navigate our lives? Do we have anyone that we’ve even let that far in? At the end of the day, the people we keep closest to us and walk with through our faith journey are the people who will influence the direction of our lives the most, so you have to ask yourself… who’s in your crew?

Scripture References

8Taste and see that the
Lord
is good;

blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.

2Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
23On their release, Peter and John went back to their own people and reported all that the chief priests and the elders had said to them.
24When they heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to God. “Sovereign Lord,” they said, “you made the heavens and the earth and the sea, and everything in them.
25You spoke by the Holy Spirit through the mouth of your servant, our father David:

“ ‘Why do the nations rage

and the peoples plot in vain?

26The kings of the earth rise up

and the rulers band together

against the Lord

and against his anointed one.

27Indeed Herod and Pontius Pilate met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed.
28They did what your power and will had decided beforehand should happen.
29Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness.
30Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”
31After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.
19But Peter and John replied, “Which is right in God’s eyes: to listen to you, or to him? You be the judges!
20As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.”
19Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household,
20Walk with the wise and become wise,

for a companion of fools suffers harm.

9For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,
10so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,
11being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience,
12and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.
13For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves,
14in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
