Brad Jones teaches through Mark 10, addressing the question, “What is the one thing God wants?” As we continue on the journey of life asking God for what we want, Pastor Brad challenges us to instead ask Him for what He wants, aligning our hearts to His desires and delighting in Him.

17As Jesus started on his way, a man ran up to him and fell on his knees before him. “Good teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

“Why do you call me good?”
Jesus answered.
“No one is good—except God alone.

You know the commandments: ‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, you shall not defraud, honor your father and mother.’
”
20“Teacher,” he declared, “all these I have kept since I was a boy.”
21Jesus looked at him and loved him.
“One thing you lack,”
he said.
“Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
10Jesus said to him,
“Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’

38As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him.
39She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said.
40But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”

“Martha, Martha,”
the Lord answered,
“you are worried and upset about many things,

but few things are needed—or indeed only one.
Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”
