In Wrath Remember Mercy

Have you felt it? The sense that we’ve lost the wonder? The feeling that we have lost sight of the awesome scale of our God. We’ve decided to look at Him under a microscope, limiting our ability to see a more full picture of who God truly is and deciding on our own which attributes of the Eternal and Almighty God we want to accept. What we need, however, is to open the aperture through which we are willing to look at God in all of his likenesses and dive deeper into His Wisdom, His Holiness, His Mercy.

Louie Giglio wants us to focus on God’s Wrath and His Mercy. It’s only by fully realizing the one, that we can appreciate in earnest the other. God’s Mercy only makes the impact on our lives that it should when we have a full grasp of His Wrath that was due us until it was poured upon Jesus that day on Calvary answering the prayers of God’s people: LORD, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, LORD. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy. Habakkuk 3:2
