The Way of Jesus in Our Wants and Desires

Grant Partrick joins us for THE FIVE, challenging us to take into account what our deepest desire is. He teaches that our values show what we desire, and our desires show in our actions. Specifically relating to our finances, our lives are a reflection of what we love, and it cannot be devoted to both God and money.

Key Takeaway

Our actions reflect our desires + our desires reveal our hearts.

  1. Where your treasure is, your heart will be also.
  2. Not all debt is sinful. But all debt is burdensome.
  3. Jesus wants us to be free so that we can have maximum flexibility to move however and whenever God wants us to move.
  4. Until Jesus is enough for you...nothing ever will be.

"The world will never be interested in what we have until we stop projecting to them that what they have is what we really want."
