The Place I Crave

As humans, we are prone to crave. The place we crave is where our fulfillment comes from. Chad Veach shows us that whatever we run to is what we trust and that craving God is the ultimate safety and satisfaction for our souls.

18God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged.
19We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain,
20where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.
1As the deer pants for streams of water,

so my soul pants for you, my God.

2My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.

When can I go and meet with God?

5Trust in the
Lord
with all your heart

and lean not on your own understanding;

6in all your ways submit to him,

and he will make your paths straight.

30Even youths grow tired and weary,

and young men stumble and fall;

31but those who hope in the
Lord

will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles;

they will run and not grow weary,

they will walk and not be faint.

1Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High

will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

2I will say of the
Lord
, “He is my refuge and my fortress,

my God, in whom I trust.”
