Nothing is Impossible

All of us have experienced failure. Maybe it was the disappointment of dreams unrealized or the death of a relationship we thought would last forever. No matter what it was, each of us has felt the sting of something coming to an end and had the thought, “Surely this is unredeemable.”

But there is Good News. Nothing is Impossible.

In the economy of God, nothing is unredeemable. Whatever you are walking through, wherever you are, God is saying to you today that it is not final. With Jesus, there is always an “after this…” You are not alone. God sees you, and His heart is going out to you. This is not the end…

There will be no funerals today.

Scripture References

1After this, Jesus traveled about from one town and village to another, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God. The Twelve were with him,
2and also some women who had been cured of evil spirits and diseases: Mary (called Magdalene) from whom seven demons had come out;
3Joanna the wife of Chuza, the manager of Herod’s household; Susanna; and many others. These women were helping to support them out of their own means.
15When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter,
“Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?”

“Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.”

Jesus said,

“Feed my lambs.”

16Again Jesus said,
“Simon son of John, do you love me?”

He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.”

Jesus said,

“Take care of my sheep.”

17The third time he said to him,
“Simon son of John, do you love me?”

Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time,

“Do you love me?”
He said, “Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you.”

Jesus said,

“Feed my sheep.
18
Very truly I tell you, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go.”
19Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death by which Peter would glorify God. Then he said to him,
“Follow me!”

25“I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten—

the great locust and the young locust,

the other locusts and the locust swarm

my great army that I sent among you.

12“Even now,” declares the
Lord
,

“return to me with all your heart,

with fasting and weeping and mourning.”

13Rend your heart

and not your garments.

Return to the

Lord
your God,

for he is gracious and compassionate,

slow to anger and abounding in love,

and he relents from sending calamity.

14Who knows? He may turn and relent

and leave behind a blessing—

grain offerings and drink offerings

for the

Lord
your God.

11Soon afterward, Jesus went to a town called Nain, and his disciples and a large crowd went along with him.
12As he approached the town gate, a dead person was being carried out—the only son of his mother, and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the town was with her.
13When the Lord saw her, his heart went out to her and he said,
“Don’t cry.”
14Then he went up and touched the bier they were carrying him on, and the bearers stood still. He said,
“Young man, I say to you, get up!”
15The dead man sat up and began to talk, and Jesus gave him back to his mother.
16They were all filled with awe and praised God. “A great prophet has appeared among us,” they said. “God has come to help his people.”
17This news about Jesus spread throughout Judea and the surrounding country.
